तब सुमंत्र नृप बचन सुनाए। करि बिनती रथ रामु चढ़ाए॥ चढ़ि रथ सीय सहित दोउ भाई। चले हृदयँ अवधहि सिरु नाई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
taba sumaṃtra nṛpa bacana sunāe। kari binatī ratha rāmu caṛhāe॥ caṛhi ratha sīya sahita dou bhāī। cale hṛdayaṃ avadhahi siru nāī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Then Sumantra, having gone there, conveyed the king's words and, making supplication, seated Rama in the chariot. Mounting the chariot with Sita, the two brothers departed, bowing their hearts to Ayodhya.
Context
