सूत बचन सुनतहिं नरनाहू। परेउ धरनि उर दारुन दाहू॥ तलफत बिषम मोह मन मापा। माजा मनहुँ मीन कहुँ ब्यापा॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sūta bacana sunatahiṃ naranāhū। pareu dharani ura dāruna dāhū॥ talaphata biṣama moha mana māpā। mājā manahuṃ mīna kahuṃ byāpā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
As soon as the charioteer Sumantra's words were heard, the king fell to the ground, and a dreadful burning seized his heart. He writhed in agony, and his mind was overwhelmed by terrible delusion, as though a fish had been afflicted by a muddy flood.
Context
This is Chaupai 3, Under Doha 153 from Ayodhya Kand, in the episode “Dashrath's Last Words and His Death”. The episode describes Dasharatha's grief-stricken final words to Sumantra and his death from separation from Rama.
