सोक बिबस कछु कहै न पारा। हृदयँ लगावत बारहि बारा॥ बिधिहि मनाव राउ मन माहीं। जेहिं रघुनाथ न कानन जाहीं॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

soka bibasa kachu kahai na pārā। hṛdayaṃ lagāvat bārahiṃ bārā॥ bidhihi manāva rāu mana māhīṃ। jehiṃ raghunātha na kānana jāhīṃ॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

Overcome by grief, the king could not say anything. Again and again he clasped Rama to his heart, and in his mind he prayed to Brahma that Raghunath should not go to the forest.
