नृप बूझे बुध सचिव समाजू। कहहु बिचारि उचित का आजू॥ समुझि अवध असमंजस दोऊ। चलिअ कि रहिअ न कह कछु कोऊ॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
nṛpa būjhe budha saciva samājū। kahahu bicāri ucita kā ājū॥ samujhi avadha asamaṃjasa doū। calia ki rahia na kaha kacha koū॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
The king asked the assembly of scholars and ministers, saying: Think carefully and tell me—what is proper to do now? Understanding the situation in Ayodhya and seeing the matter as doubly uncertain—should one go or stay?—no one said anything.
