नहिं असत्य सम पातक पुंजा। गिरि सम होहिं कि कोटिक गुंजा॥ सत्यमूल सब सुकृत सुहाए। बेद पुरान बिदित मनु गाए॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

nahiṃ asatya sama pātaka puṃjā। giri sama hohiṃ ki koṭika guṃjā॥ satyamūla saba sukṛta suhāe। beda purāna bidita manu gāe॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

There is no heap of sins equal to untruth. Can even millions of guñjā seeds equal a mountain? Truth is the root of all noble merit. This is known in the Vedas and Puranas, and Manu also said the same.
