झूठेहुँ हमहि दोषु जनि देहू। दुइ कै चारि मागि मकु लेहू॥ रघुकुल रीति सदा चलि आई। प्रान जाहुँ बरु बचनु न जाई॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jhuṭhehuṃ hamahi doṣu jani dehū। dui kai cāri māgi maku lehū॥ raghukula rīti sadā cali āī। prāna jāhūṃ baru bacanu na jāī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

Do not blame me falsely. If you wish, ask four in place of two. This has always been the custom of the Raghu line: even if one's life must go, the promise does not fail.
