कत सिख देइ हमहि कोउ माई। गालु करब केहि कर बलु पाई॥ रामहि छाड़ि कुसल केहि आजू। जेहि जनेसु देइ जुबराजू॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kata sikha dei hamahi kou māī। gālu karaba kehi kara balu pāī॥ rāmahi chāṛi kusala kehi ājū। yehi janesu dei jubarājū॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

“Why should anyone lecture me, mother? And whose strength would I have to be bold and abusive? Apart from Rama, who else is well today, to whom the king is giving the post of heir apparent?”
