करि प्रनामु सब कहँ कर जोरे। रामु राउ गुर साधु निहोरे॥ छमब आजु अति अनुचित मोरा। कहउँ बदन मृदु बचन कठोरा॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kari pranāmu saba kahaṁ kara jore। rāmu rāu guru sādhū nihore॥ chamaba āju ati anucita morā। kahauṁ badana mṛdu bachana kaṭhorā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Bharata bowed in reverence and folded his hands before everyone—Shri Ramachandra, King Janaka, Guru Vashistha, and all the saints—and pleaded, saying: Please forgive my extremely improper conduct today. I am speaking harsh words with a gentle mouth.
