जटाजूट सिर मुनिपट धारी। महि खनि कुस साँथरी सँवारी॥ असन बसन बासन ब्रत नेमा। करत कठिन रिषिधरम सप्रेमा॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jaṭājūṭa sira munipaṭa dhārī। mahi khani kusa sāṃtharī saṃvārī॥ asana basana bāsana brata nemā। karata kaṭhina riṣidharama sapremā॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
With matted hair on his head and the dress of a hermit, he dug the ground and arranged a seat of kusa grass. In food, clothing, utensils, vows, and observances, he lovingly practiced the hard discipline of the sages.
