ऐसिउ पीर बिहसि तेहिं गोई। चोर नारि जिमि प्रगटि न रोई॥ लखहिं न भूप कपट चतुराई। कोटि कुटिल मनि गुरू पढ़ाई॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

aisiu pīra bihasi tehiṃ gōī। coranāri jimi pragaṭi na roī॥ lakhahiṃ na bhūpa kapaṭa caturāī। koṭi kuṭila mani gurū paṛhāī॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

Even such a deep pain she hid with a smile, like a thief's wife who does not cry in public. The king does not perceive her deceitful cleverness, for she has been trained by Manthara, the teacher of millions of the crooked.
