ब्याल कराल बिहग बन घोरा। निसिचर निकर नारि नर चोरा॥ डरपहिं धीर गहन सुधि आएँ। मृगलोचनि तुम्ह भीरु सुभाएँ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

byāla karāla bihaga bana ghorā। nisichara nikara nāri nara chorā॥ ḍarapahiṃ dhīra gahana sudhi āeṃ। mr̥galocani tumhaṃ bhīru subhāeṃ॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

Terrible serpents, fearsome birds, and hordes of demons who steal men and women dwell in the forest. Even brave people grow afraid when they merely remember its wildness. And you, O doe-eyed one, are timid by nature!
