नर अहार रजनीचर चरहीं। कपट बेष बिधि कोटिक करहीं॥ लागइ अति पहार कर पानी। बिपिन बिपति नहिं जाइ बखानी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
nara ahāra rajanīcara carahīṃ। kapaṭa beṣa bidhi koṭika karahīṃ॥ lāgai ati pahāra kara pānī। bipina bipati nahiṃ jāi bakhānī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Man-eating demons roam about in the forest, taking on thousands upon thousands of deceitful disguises. Even the mountain water is hard to bear. The dangers of the forest cannot be described.
