बिप्रबधू कुलमान्य जठेरी। जे प्रिय परम कैकई केरी॥ लगीं देन सिख सीलु सराही। बचन बानसम लागहिं ताही॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
biprabadhū kulamānya jaṭherī। je priya parama kaikai kerī॥ lagīṃ dena sikha sīlu sarāhī। bacana bānasma lāgahiṃ tāhī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
The wives of the Brahmins, the respected elder women of the family, and those who were especially dear to Kaikeyi began to advise her, praising her restraint and virtue. But their words struck her like arrows.
