बचन बिनीत मधुर रघुबर के। सर सम लगे मातु उर करके॥ सहमि सूखि सुनि सीतलि बानी। जिमि जवास परें पावस पानी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bacana binīta madhura raghubara ke। sara sama lage mātu ura karake॥ sahami sūkhi suni sītali bānī। jimi javāsa pareṃ pāvasa pānī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
The humble and sweet words of Raghuvara pierced Mother's heart like arrows. Hearing that cool speech, Kausalya was startled and withered, just as javasa grass dries up when monsoon rain falls on it.
