आपु छोटि महिमा बड़ि जानी। कबिकुल कानि मानि सकुचानी॥ कहि न सकति गुन रुचि अधिकाई। मति गति बाल बचन की नाई॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
āpu choṭi mahimā baṛi jānī। kabikula kāni māni sakuchānī॥ kahi na sakati guna ruci adhikāī। mati gati bāla bachana kī nāī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
But that intellect, knowing itself small and Bharata's greatness vast, grew shy in deference to the poets' tradition and dared not describe him. It has great delight in his virtues, yet cannot put them into words; its movement has become like a child's speech.
