कूजत पिक मानहुँ गज माते। ढेक महोख ऊँट बिसराते॥ मोर चकोर कीर बर बाजी। पारावत मराल सब ताजी॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kūjata pika mānahuṃ gaja māte। ḍheka mahokha ūṃṭa bisarāte॥ mora cako ra kīra bara bājī। pārāvata marāla saba tājī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
The cuckoos are cooing, as if maddened elephants were trumpeting. The ḍhek and mahokh birds seem like camels and mules. Peacocks, chukars, parrots, pigeons, swans, and all the rest look like fine racing horses.
