तेहि कौतुक कर मरमु न काहूँ। जाना अनुज न मातु पिताहूँ॥ जानु पानि धाए मोहि धरना। स्यामल गात अरुन कर चरना॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
tehi kautuka kara maramu na kāhūṃ। jānā anuja na mātu pitāhūṃ॥ jānu pāni dhāe mohi dharanā। syāmala gāta aruna kara caranā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
No one knew the meaning of that play—not even the younger brothers, nor even the parents. The dark-bodied child, with red palms and red feet, ran toward me on his knees and hands to catch me.
