ताते सुर सीसन्ह चढ़त जग बल्लभ श्रीखंड। अनल दाहि पीटत घनहिं परसु बदन यह दंड॥ ३७ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tāte sura sīsanha caṛhata jaga ballabha śrīkhaṇḍa। anala dāhi pīṭata ghanahiṃ parasu badana yaha daṇḍa॥ 37 ॥

Meaning

Because of this quality, sandalwood is placed on the heads of the gods and becomes dear to the world, while the axe-blade receives this punishment: it is burned in fire and then beaten with a hammer.
