ससुरारि पिआरि लगी जब तें। रिपुरूप कुटुंब भए तब तें॥ नृप पाप परायन धर्म नहीं। करि दंड बिडंब प्रजा नितहीं॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sasurāri piāri lāgī jaba teṃ। ripurūpa kuṭuṃba bhae taba teṃ॥ nṛpa pāpa parāyana dharma nahīṃ। kari daṃḍa biḍaṃba prajā nitahīṃ॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Since the in-laws' home became dear, the kinsmen have turned into enemies. Kings have become devoted to sin; righteousness is no more in them. They constantly oppress the people, punishing them every day.
