रहेउ एक दिन अवधि अधारा। समुझत मन दुख भयउ अपारा॥ कारन कवन नाथ नहिं आयउ। जानि कुटिल किधौं मोहि बिसरायउ॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
raheu eka dina avadhi adhārā। samujhata mana dukha bhayau apārā॥ kārana kavana nātha nahiṃ āyau। jāni kuṭila kidhauṃ mohi bisarāyau॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Only one day remained in the life-supporting period of waiting. As soon as he reflected on this, Bharata’s heart filled with boundless sorrow. What could be the reason that the Lord had not come? Had He judged me to be crooked and thus forgotten me?
