मानी कुटिल कुभाग्य कुजाती। गुर कर द्रोह करउँ दिनु राती॥ अति दयाल गुर स्वल्प न क्रोधा। पुनि पुनि मोहि सिखाव सुबोधा॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
mānī kuṭila kubhāgya kujātī। gura kara droha karaũ dina rātī॥ ati dayāla gura svalpa na krodhā। puni puni mohi sikhāva subodhā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
I was proud, crooked, unfortunate, and of low birth; day and night I kept betraying the guru. The guru was extremely compassionate; he felt not the least anger. Again and again he continued to teach me sound wisdom.
