जो अति आतप ब्याकुल होई। तरु छाया सुख जानइ सोई॥ जौं नहिं होत मोह अति मोही। मिलतेउँ तात कवन बिधि तोही॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jo ati ātapa byākula hoī। taru chāyā sukha jānai soī॥ jaũ nahiṃ hota moha ati mohī। milateũ tāta kavana bidhi tohī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Only one who is greatly troubled by the sun's heat knows the comfort of a tree's shade. O dear one, if I had not been so deluded, how could I have met you?
