बहु दाम सँवारहिं धाम जती। बिषया हरि लीन्हि न रहि बिरती॥ तपसी धनवंत दरिद्र गृही। कलि कौतुक तात न जात कही॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bahu dāma saṃvārahiṃ dhāma jatī। biṣayā hari līnhi na rahi biratī॥ tapasī dhanavanta daridra gṛhī। kali kautuka tāta na jāta kahī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Ascetics adorn their homes with great wealth; their detachment has been stolen away by desires. The renunciates have become rich and householders poor. O father, the wonders of the Kali age cannot be fully told.
