आवत निकट हँसहिं प्रभु भाजत रुदन कराहिं। जाउँ समीप गहन पद फिरि फिरि चितइ पराहिं॥ ७७ (क) ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

āvata nikaṭa haṃsahiṃ prabhu bhājata rudana karāhīṃ। \njāũ samīpa gahana pada phiri phiri citai parāhīṃ॥ 77 (a) ॥

Meaning

When I come near, the Lord laughs; when I run away, He cries out. And when I go near to touch His feet, He keeps turning back to look at me and then runs away.
