तात लात रावन मोहि मारा। कहत परम हित मंत्र बिचारा॥ तेहिं गलानि रघुपति पहिं आयउँ। देखि दीन प्रभु के मन भायउँ॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
tāta lāta rāvana mohi mārā। kahata parama hita maṃtra bicārā॥ tehiṃ galāni raghupati pahiṃ āyauṃ। dekhi dīna prabhu ke mana bhāyauṃ॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
[Vibhishana said:] O father, Ravana kicked me when I spoke words of most beneficial counsel and thought. Out of that humiliation I came to Raghupati. Seeing my helpless state, I became dear to the Lord's heart.
