सत्य बचन कहु निसिचर नाहा। साँचेहुँ कीस कीन्ह पुर दाहा॥ रावन नगर अल्प कपि दहई। सुनि अस बचन सत्य को कहई॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

satya bacana kahu nisicara nāhā। sā̃cehũ kīsa kīnha pura dāhā॥ rāvana nagara alpa kapi dahī। suni asa bacana satya ko kahī॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

O lord of the demons, speak the truth! Did that monkey really burn your city? The city of Ravana, that world-conquering warrior, was burned by a mere little monkey. Hearing such words, who would call them true?
