लंकेस अति बल गर्ब। किए बस्य सुर गंधर्ब॥ मुनि सिद्ध नर खग नाग। हठि पंथ सब कें लाग॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
laṃkesa ati bala garba। ki'e basya sura gaṃdharba॥ muni siddha nara khaga nāga। haṭhi paṃtha saba keṃ lāga॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
The Lord of Lanka, Ravana, was filled with pride in his strength. He had brought gods and gandharvas under his control, and with stubborn force he pursued all—sages, perfected beings, humans, birds, and serpents.
