लागत बान बीर चिक्करहीं। घुर्मि घुर्मि जहँ तहँ महि परहीं॥ स्रवहिं सैल जनु निर्झर भारी। सोनित सरि कादर भयकारी॥ ५ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
lāgata bāna bīra cikkarahīṃ। ghurmi ghurmi jahaṃ tahaṃ mahi parahīṃ॥ sravahim̐ saila janu nirjhara bhārī। sonita sari kādara bhayakārī॥ 5 ॥
Meaning
As arrows strike, the warriors cry out and, reeling again and again, fall to the ground here and there. Blood flows from them as if from heavy mountain waterfalls. Thus a river of blood, dreadful to the faint-hearted, begins to flow.
