एहि बिधि जल्पत भयउ बिहाना। चहुँ दुआर लागे कपि नाना॥ इत कपि भालु काल सम बीरा। उत रजनीचर अति रनधीरा॥ ५ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

ehi bidhi jalpata bhayau bihānā। cahuṃ duāra lāge kapi nānā॥ ita kapi bhālu kāla sama bīrā। uta rajanīcara ati ranhīrā॥ 5 ॥

Meaning

While he was boasting in this way, dawn broke. At Lanka's four gates, many monkeys took their stand. On this side are the monkeys and bears, brave as Death itself; on the other, the demons, supremely fierce in battle.
