कुन्देन्दीवरसुन्दरावतिबलौ विज्ञानधामावुभौ शोभाढ्यौ वरधन्विनौ श्रुतिनुतौ गोविप्रवृन्दप्रियौ। मायामानुषरूपिणौ रघुवरौ सद्धर्मवर्मौ हितौ सीतान्वेषणतत्परौ पथिगतौ भक्तिप्रदौ तौ हि नः॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kundendīvarasundarāvatibalau vijñānadhāmāvubhau śobhāḍhyau varadhanvinau śrutinutau govipravṛndapriyau। māyāmānuṣarūpiṇau raghuvarau saddharmavarmau hitau sītānveṣaṇatatparau pathigatau bhaktipradau tau hi naḥ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning:
May those two brothers—Rama and Lakshmana—be gracious to us: they are beautiful like the kunda flower and the blue lotus, immensely powerful, abodes of wisdom, splendid, master archers praised by the Vedas, dear to cows and to assemblies of Brahmins, appearing in human form by Maya, the noblest of the Raghu line, shields of righteous duty, intent on seeking Sita, traveling on the path, and bestowers of devotion.
ब्रह्माम्भोधिसमुद्भवं कलिमलप्रध्वंसनं चाव्ययं श्रीमच्छम्भुमुखेन्दुसुन्दरवरे संशोभितं सर्वदा। संसारामयभेषजं सुखकरं श्रीजानकीजीवनं धन्यास्ते कृतिनः पिबन्ति सततं श्रीरामनामामृतम्॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
brahmāmbhodhisamudbhavaṃ kalimalapradhvaṃsanaṃ cāvyayaṃ śrīmacchambhumukhendusundaravare saṃśobhitaṃ sarvadā। saṃsārāmayabheṣajaṃ sukhakaraṃ śrījānakījīvanaṃ dhanyāste kṛtinaḥ pibanti satataṃ śrīrāmanāmāmṛtam॥ 2 ॥
Meaning:
Blessed are those righteous souls who continually drink the nectar of Shri Rama's name: it arose from the churning of the ocean of the Vedas, destroys the impurity of Kali age, is imperishable, ever adorns the beautiful and noble moon-like face of Lord Shambhu, is the medicine for the disease of worldly existence, gives happiness, and is the very life of Shri Janaki.
मुक्ति जन्म महि जानि ग्यान खानि अघ हानि कर। जहँ बस संभु भवानि सो कासी सेइअ कस न॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
mukti janma mahi jāni gyāna khāni agh hāni kara। jahāṃ basa saṃbhu bhavāni so kāsī seia kasa na॥ 1 ॥
Meaning:
Knowing Kashi, where Shiva and Parvati dwell, as the birthplace of liberation, the mine of knowledge, and the destroyer of sins, why should one not serve it?
जरत सकल सुर बृंद बिषम गरल जेहिं पान किय। तेहि न भजसि मन मंद को कृपाल संकर सरिस॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jarata sakala sura bṛnda biṣama garala jehiṃ pāna kiya। tehi na bhajasi mana manda ko kṛpāla saṃkara sarisa॥ 2 ॥
Meaning:
O foolish mind, why do you not worship compassionate Shankara, who drank the terrible poison that was burning all the gods? Who is as merciful as he?
