कह प्रभु सुनु सुग्रीव हरीसा। पुर न जाउँ दस चारि बरीसा॥ गत ग्रीषम बरषा रितु आई। रहिहउँ निकट सैल पर छाई॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kaha prabhu sunu sugrīva harīsā। pura na jāuṃ dasa cāri barīsā॥ gata grīṣma baraṣā ritu āī। rahihauṃ nikaṭa saila para chāī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Then the Lord said, 'Listen, Sugriva, lord of the monkeys: I will not go to the city for fourteen years. Summer has passed, and the rainy season has arrived. So I shall remain nearby, sheltered on the mountain.'
