यह सब चरित कहा मैं गाई। आगिलि कथा सुनहु मन लाई॥ बिस्वामित्र महामुनि ग्यानी। बसहिं बिपिन सुभ आश्रम जानी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
yaha saba carita kahā maiṃ gāī। āgili kathā sunahu mana lāī॥ bisvāmitra mahāmuni gyānī। basahiṃ bipina subha āśrama jānī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
I have sung and recounted all these deeds. Now listen attentively to the story that follows. The learned great sage Vishvamitra dwelt in a beautiful hermitage, having chosen the forest as a holy abode.
