तब संकर प्रभु पद सिरु नावा। सुमिरत रामु हृदयँ अस आवा॥ एहिं तन सतिहि भेट मोहि नाहीं। सिव संकल्पु कीन्ह मन माहीं॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

taba saṃkara prabhu pada siru nāvā। sumirata rāmu hṛdayaṃ asa āvā॥ ehiṃ tana satihi bheṭa mohi nāhīṃ। siva saṅkalpu kīnha mana māhīṃ॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Then Shiva bowed his head at the Lord’s feet, and as he remembered Rama, it came to his heart that in this body there could be no meeting with Sati in the manner of husband and wife. Shiva formed this resolve in his mind.
