स्याम गौर सुंदर दोउ जोरी। निरखहिं छबि जननीं तृन तोरी॥ चारिउ सील रूप गुन धामा। तदपि अधिक सुखसागर रामा॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
syāma gaura sundara doū jorī। nirkhahiṃ chabi jananīṃ tṛna torī॥ cāriu sīla rūpa guna dhāmā। tadapi adhika sukhasāgara rāmā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Seeing the beauty of the lovely pair—one dark-complexioned and one fair—the mothers pluck blades of grass [to ward off the evil eye]. Indeed, all four sons are abodes of virtue, beauty, and good qualities; yet Rama is the greatest ocean of bliss.
