सुक सारिका जानकी ज्याए। कनक पिंजरन्हि राखि पढ़ाए॥ ब्याकुल कहहिं कहाँ बैदेही। सुनि धीरजु परिहरइ न केही॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
suka sārikā jānakī jyāe। kanaka piṃjaranhi rāki paṛhāe॥ byākula kahahiṃ kahāṃ baidehī। suni dhīraju pariharai na kehī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Sita had reared and taught the parrots and mynas, keeping them in golden cages; now, agitated, they were asking, “Where is Vaidehi?” Who would not lose composure on hearing such words?
