सादर सिवहि नाइ अब माथा। बरनउँ बिसद राम गुन गाथा॥ संबत सोरह सै एकतीसा। करउँ कथा हरि पद धरि सीसा॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sādara sivahi nāi aba māthā। baranauṃ bisada rāma guna gāthā॥ saṃbata soraha sai ekatīsā। karauṃ kathā hari pada dhari sīsā॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Now, bowing my head respectfully to Shiva, I narrate the pure story of Rama’s virtues. Placing my head at Hari’s feet, I begin this narration in the year 1631.
