रामचरितमानस एहि नामा। सुनत श्रवन पाइअ बिश्रामा॥ मन करि बिषय अनल बन जरई। होइ सुखी जौं एहिं सर परई॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

rāmacaritamānasa ehi nāmā। sunata shravana pāiya bishrāmā॥ mana kari biṣaya anala bana jarī। hoi sukhī jauṃ ehiṃ sara paraī॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

Its name is Ramcharitmanas; merely hearing it brings rest to the ears. The mind, like an elephant, is burning in the forest fire of worldly pleasures; if it falls into this lake called Ramcharitmanas, it becomes happy.
