निज भ्रम नहिं समुझहिं अग्यानी। प्रभु पर मोह धरहिं जड़ प्रानी॥ जथा गगन घन पटल निहारी। झाँपेउ भानु कहहिं कुबिचारी॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

nija bhrama nahiṃ samujhahiṃ agyānī। prabhu para moha dharahiṃ jaḍa prānī॥ jathā gagana ghana paṭala nihārī। jhāṃpeu bhānu kahahiṃ kubicārī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

The ignorant do not understand their own delusion; the foolish blame Lord Rama for it, just as unwise people, seeing a curtain of clouds in the sky, say that the clouds have hidden the sun.
