मातु पितहि बहुबिधि समुझाई। चलीं उमा तप हित हरषाई॥ प्रिय परिवार पिता अरु माता। भए बिकल मुख आव न बाता॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
mātu pitahi bahubidhi samujhāī। calīṃ umā tapa hita haraṣāī॥ priya parivāra pitā aru mātā। bhae bikala mukha āva na bātā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
After persuading her parents in many ways, Parvati joyfully set out to perform austerity. Her dear family, father, and mother all became distraught; no one could speak a word.
