कीन्ह कवन पन कहहु कृपाला। सत्यधाम प्रभु दीनदयाला॥ जदपि सतीं पूछा बहु भाँती। तदपि न कहेउ त्रिपुर आराती॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kīnha kavana pana kahahu kṛpālā। satyadhāma prabhu dīnadayālā॥ jadapi satīṃ pūchā bahu bhāṃtī। tadapi na kaheu tripura ārātī॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

"Tell me, O compassionate one, what vow have you made? O Lord, you are the abode of truth and the friend of the lowly." Although Sati asked in many ways, Tripurari Shiva said nothing.

Context

This is Chaupai 4, Under Doha 57 from Bal Kand, in the episode “Shiva Renounces Sati”. The episode describes Shiva inwardly renouncing Sati and entering deep, unworldly samadhi.
