जौं करि कष्ट जाइ पुनि कोई। जातहिं नीद जुड़ाई होई॥ जड़ता जाड़ बिषम उर लागा। गएहुँ न मज्जन पाव अभागा॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jauṃ kari kaṣṭa jāi puni koī। jātahiṃ nīda juṛāī hoī॥ jaṛatā jāṛa biṣama ura lāgā। gaehuṃ na majjana pāva abhāgā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

If someone reaches there only after great hardship, sleep-like drowsiness overtakes him at once. The harsh cold of stupidity settles in the heart, so that even after arriving there the unlucky one cannot bathe.
