जनक बचन सुनि सब नर नारी। देखि जानकिहि भए दुखारी॥ माखे लखनु कुटिल भइँ भौंहें। रदपट फरकत नयन रिसौंहें॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
janaka bacana suni saba nara nārī। dekhi jānakihi bhae dukhārī॥ mākhe lakhanu kuṭila bhaiṃ bhauhẽ। radapaṭa pharakata nayana risauṃhe॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Hearing Janaka's words, all the men and women became sorrowful as they looked at Janaki. Lakshmana flared up; his eyebrows twisted, his lips quivered, and his eyes turned red with anger.
