Meaning

To blacken the faces of Yama's messengers, it is like the Yamuna in this world; and for granting liberation to beings, it is as though it were Kashi itself. It is dear to Shri Ram like sacred tulsi, and for Tulsi Das it is like Hulasi, his mother, lovingly beneficial to the heart.
