गौर किसोर बेषु बर काछें। कर सर चाप राम के पाछें॥ लछिमनु नामु राम लघु भ्राता। सुनु सखि तासु सुमित्रा माता॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

gaura kisora beṣu bara kācheṃ। kara sara cāpa rāma ke pācheṃ॥ lachimanu nāmu rāma laghu bhrātā। sunu sakhi tāsu sumitrā mātā॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

He whose complexion is fair and who is in youth, beautifully dressed and carrying bow and arrows in his hand, walking behind Shri Ramji—he is His younger brother. His name is Lakshman. O friend, listen: his mother is Sumitra.
