बर कुअँरि करतल जोरि साखोचारु दोउ कुलगुर करैं। भयो पानिगहनु बिलोकि बिधि सुर मनुज मुनि आनँद भरैं॥ सुखमूल दूलहु देखि दंपति पुलक तन हुलस्यो हियो। करि लोक बेद बिधानु कन्यादानु नृपभूषन कियो॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bara kuām̐ri karatala jori sākhocāru dou kulagura karaiṃ। bhayo pāṇigahanu biloki bidhi sura manuja muni ānaṃda bharaiṃ॥ sukhamūla dūlahu dekhi daṃpati pulaka tana hulasyo hio। kari loka beda bidhānu kanyādānu nṛpabhūṣana kiyo॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

The two family priests joined the hands of the bride and groom and performed the auspicious rite. Seeing the marriage ceremony, Brahma, the gods, humans, and sages were filled with joy. Seeing the bridegroom, the source of happiness, the king and queen’s bodies thrilled with goosebumps and their hearts swelled with joy. Following worldly and Vedic custom, King Janak, the ornament of kings, gave the maiden in marriage.
