बहुरि कीन्हि कोसलपति पूजा। जानि ईस सम भाउ न दूजा॥ कीन्हि जोरि कर बिनय बड़ाई। कहि निज भाग्य बिभव बहुताई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bahuri kīnhi kosalapati pūjā। jāni īsa sama bhāu na dūjā॥ kīnhi jori kara binaya baṛāī। kahi nija bhāgya bibhava bahutāī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Then they worshipped the lord of Kosala, King Dasharatha, regarding him as equal to Shiva; no other feeling was in their hearts. After that, with folded hands, they praised the greatness of their own good fortune and prosperity.
