अति आरति पूछउँ सुरराया। रघुपति कथा कहहु करि दाया॥ प्रथम सो कारन कहहु बिचारी। निर्गुन ब्रह्म सगुन बपु धारी॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
ati ārati pūchauṃ surarāyā। raghupati kathā kahahu kari dāyā॥ prathama so kārana kahahu bicārī। nirguna brahma saguna bapu dhārī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
O Lord of the gods, I ask in deep humility: kindly show me mercy and tell the story of Raghupati. First, please explain the reason by which attributeless Brahman takes on a manifest form.
