तिन्हहि बिलोकि बिलोकति धरनी। दुहुँ सकोच सकुचति बरबरनी॥ सकुचि सप्रेम बाल मृग नयनी। बोली मधुर बचन पिकबयनी॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tinhahi biloki bilokati dharanī। duhuṃ sakocha sakucati barabaranī॥ sakuci saprema bāla mṛga nayanī। bolī madhura bachana pikabayanī॥ 2 ॥

Seeing them, the fair-hued Sita looks down toward the ground. She is shy from both sides of hesitation: reluctance to tell them, and the shame of speaking. With eyes like a fawn's and a voice like a cuckoo's, Sita shyly spoke sweet words—
