सोक बिकल दोउ राज समाजा। रहा न ग्यानु न धीरजु लाजा॥ भूप रूप गुन सील सराही। रोवहिं सोक सिंधु अवगाही॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
soka bikala dou rāja samājā। rahā na gyānu na dhīraju lājā॥ bhūpa rūpa guna sīla sarāhī। rovahiṃ soka sindhu avagāhī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Both royal assemblies were overwhelmed with grief. No one retained knowledge, patience, or even shame. Praising King Dasharatha’s beauty, virtues, and gentle conduct, all were weeping and plunging into the ocean of sorrow.
