सानुज राम नृपहि सिर नाई। कीन्हि बहुत बिधि बिनय बड़ाई॥ देव दया बस बड़ दुखु पायउ। सहित समाज काननहिं आयउ॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sānujā rāma nṛpahi sira nāī। kīnhi bahuta bidhi binaya baṛāī॥ deva dayā basa baḍa dukhu pāyau। sahita samāja kānanahiṃ āyau॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
With Lakshmana at His side, Lord Rama bowed His head to King Janaka and praised him in many ways, saying: “O noble one, by your compassion you have undergone much sorrow. You have come to the forest with your whole retinue.”
